Terms of use and grievance officer
By using MazePune you agree to these terms. MazePune is an independent, non-partisan civic platform run by volunteers. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, PMC, PCMC, any government body or any political party.
What MazePune is
- It shows who is responsible for a spot, from public records, and lets citizens report civic issues and see what happened to them. It is not an official complaint channel: for an official complaint number, also use the corporation’s own helpline or portal.
- Information is given in good faith with no promise that it is complete or current. Offices and officers change; boundaries near an edge can be off by a few hundred metres.
Your reports and community guidelines
- Report only what you saw yourself, with a photo taken at the spot. A report is your observation, not a finding or an allegation against any person.
- No faces, children, number plates, abuse, personal details of private people, advertising or fake reports. Do not file the same issue repeatedly.
- Moderators may hold, edit, hide or remove a report, or ask for a clearer photo. Reports that repeat or crowd one spot are checked before officials are emailed. Removed reports show the reason.
What we email, and when
- Day 0: after 2 people confirm a report, the corporation’s helpline and the officers of that ward office and department are emailed. Day 2: supervisors. Day 5: the ward’s corporators. Day 10: the MLA, MP and Municipal Commissioner. Only while the issue is still open.
- Day 15 (state officers) and Day 20 (Minister, Minister of State, Chief Minister) happen only after a moderator step and can be switched off. Elected representatives are written to by email only, never by phone or WhatsApp.
Corrections, removal and right of reply
- Anyone who says information about them or a report is wrong, outdated or should not be shown can use the “Suggest a correction” form on this site and include the link to the page. We decide within 7 days and, if you left a way to reach you, tell you what we did and why.
- Right of reply: an official’s email reply to one of our emails is read and shown on the report page, with their complaint number if they give one. We do not edit what they say.
- Nothing on MazePune is meant to defame, harass or accuse any person. Public facts are stated as facts (for example “emailed on this date, no reply received”).
